Responsibilities

• The Associate position presents an excellent opportunity for a candidate to work closely with JEGI’s Managing Directors.

• We seek detailed, committed and proactive individuals with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to support the entire M&A engagement process as part of client management teams
• The candidate will develop detailed financial and written analyses that assess media companies, their products & services, industries, growth opportunities, valuations and investment merits.
• The candidate will conduct market research, prepare transaction documents, and collaborate on management presentations.
• He/she will work closely with clients, corporate buyers and private equity investors throughout the M&A engagements.

Qualifications

• MBA in finance.
• Exceptional academic and professional track record.
• 2-5 years of work experience preferably with the M&A practice of a leading investment bank or accounting firm, with a commercial finance company, or with a major consulting firm.
• Extensive experience with financial modeling, corporate valuations and third-party due diligence. Knowledgeable in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, research, writing and presentation skills.
• Leadership experience working with high performing teams.
• Organized, thorough, and detail oriented.
• Self starter able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Executive presence with the ability to develop a rapport with colleagues and clients.
• High level of energy, enthusiasm and integrity.

• Either 1-2 years of work experience, or internship experience during one’s undergraduate education, preferably with the M&A practice of a leading investment bank or accounting firm, with a commercial finance company, or with a major consulting firm.
• Experience with financial modeling and corporate valuations and an understanding of third-party due diligence.
• Excellent analytical, research, writing and presentation skills.
• Leadership experience.
